Mater Dei College Ashaka Old Boys Association Set for 2025 Annual General Meeting and Homecoming

The Mater Dei College Ashaka Old Boys Association (MOBA) has announced plans for its forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Homecoming event, scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Mater Dei College premises in Ashaka, Delta State.

The announcement was made by the National President, Sir Churchill E. Ajusah, who described the AGM as a “unique reunion that brings together old boys from across Nigeria and the diaspora to reconnect, reflect, and contribute to the continuous growth of our beloved alma mater.”

As is tradition, the AGM serves as an annual homecoming where generations of alumni return to celebrate their shared heritage, renew old friendships, and support ongoing projects within the school.

This year’s event promises to be both memorable and impactful, featuring a guided tour of the school facilities, interactive sessions with students, and the donation of educational materials and books to the school library—all aimed at strengthening the bond between the old boys and the current students.

The day’s activities will also include a plenary session where members will deliberate on key issues affecting the association and the school community, setting strategic goals for the coming year.

The highlight of the homecoming will be the Gala Nite, a glamorous evening of celebration, music, and recognition. During the event, twelve distinguished old boys will be honored for their outstanding contributions to the association, their professional excellence, and their service to society. The awards will be presented in two categories: the MOBA National Merit Award and the MOBA National Grand Merit Award.

Sir Churchill E. Ajusah expressed optimism that the 2025 AGM will further strengthen the spirit of brotherhood among old boys and reinforce the association’s commitment to the advancement of Mater Dei College.

He encouraged all members, both at home and abroad, to make plans to attend and take part in this year’s activities, which promise to combine nostalgia, networking, and renewed dedication to the college’s legacy of excellence.

“Mater Dei College made us who we are today; it is only right that we come together to give back and ensure that future generations enjoy even better opportunities,” Sir Ajusah noted.

The 2025 AGM and Homecoming once again reaffirm MOBA’s enduring spirit as enshrined in the school song:
“Oh my College, MDC!
Oh my College, MDC!!
We've never been conquered
We shall never never be conquered"

The echo of this song rejuvenates, reinvigorates and awakens the MOBA spirit imbibed during our sojourn in the school and it remains a tonic which members use to rekindle their commitment to the cause of MOBA.
